Movtro is now on Android
The Movtro app is now on Google Play. Field staff can clock in, run their jobs and keep working without signal, from their phone.
The Movtro app is now on Google Play. Field staff can run their working day from their phone: clock in, see their jobs, update them on site and clock out, without opening a browser.
What your team can do in the app
- Clock in and out from the Home screen. The clock-in location is saved with the attendance record.
- Open their jobs, move them along as the work happens, and add photos, notes and checklist answers on site.
- Get a push notification when a job is assigned to them or changes, when someone messages them, and for HR updates.
- Keep working without signal. Jobs they have already opened stay on the phone, and clock-ins, status changes, notes, checklist answers and photos made offline are sent when the connection comes back.
- Use it in light or dark mode. The app follows the phone's setting.
Location while clocked in, and only then
If your company turns on location sharing, the app shares location only while someone is clocked in, and a notification stays on the phone the whole time. Sharing stops at clock-out. If someone forgets to clock out, it switches off by itself a few hours after their working hours end. Nobody's location is shared outside work.
The app asks for location only while it is in use. It never asks for "Allow all the time".
Managers on an Operations plan can follow the team on the live map during the day.
Getting started
- Ask your team to install Movtro from Google Play. It runs on Android 7.0 and newer.
- They sign in with the email and password they use on movtro.com. There is no separate app account.
- When the app asks, they allow notifications and, if your company uses location sharing, location while using the app.
The app and the website share the same data. A job updated in the app shows on movtro.com as soon as the phone is online, and the other way round.
